KKK Flyer Urges People to Vote

A West Texas Ku Klux Klan chapter left flyers on Abilene doorsteps over the weekend asking people to remember to vote.

The vague flyer is addressed to all American citizens, a deviation from its usual only-read-if-you-are-white disclaimer.

"By now most of, white, black or whatever have realized we are being lied to," it reads.  "Our country and our freedoms are in trouble. (...) With whatever group lets  all stand together and with Gods help we can save our country [sic]."

It does not endorse any particular candidates, only says "remember to vote."

An attached flyer encourages people to join the group in order to combat affirmative action.

Comments

We encourage all citizens to be active in the community, vote, and stand firm to their beliefs! The previous fliers were unacceptable, and should never have been released to the public. And we apologize for the behaviors of our past members. Those who gave us bad publicity for soliciting in areas known for having a majority of blacks and Hispanics, are no longer with us. We are Patriots not terrorists!
