When we think of dances we generally think of school dances. Seniors at the Rose Park Senior Center are showing dances aren't just for the young but also the young at heart.

This is a very enjoyable place to have good music and a good time. I love it. I've been coming for years,” said senior Charlie Carter.

He comes to dances at the Rose Park Senior center every week. Sometimes he even brings a date.

Well sometimes I bring one. Tonight I'm here by myself and I'm dancing with the first one I can talk into dancing with me,” he said.

When he does find one he dances the night away. Carter says the dances arent just for fun but also to improve his health.

The doctors have told me dancing is the best exercise you can get,” said Carter.

He says the more he gets up and dances the better he feels and the more his doctor says he is in good health. More than his health Carter gets the chance to get out and have some fun.

Rose Park Senior Center has a dance every Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
