HPU Adds Kara Taylor To Training Staff

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne University athletics office announced on Friday the hiring of Kara Taylor as assistant athletic trainer.
 
Kara Taylor comes to HPU from Mineola ISD where she served as Head Athletic Trainer for the past two years. Before Mineola, she was at the Trinity Mother Frances Health System Sports Medicine in Tyler, Texas working with John Tyler high school, East Texas Gymnastics, Tyler club and recreational soccer, and SportsCare tennis.
 
Kara graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler with a Master of Education in Health and Kinesiology in May 2009. In 2007, she received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma and also has an Associates of Science in Allied Health from Carl Albert State College.
 
Kara is a Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) and is a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) in the State of Texas. She will begin her duties with the HPU training staff on August 1st.
