Whipping winds, pounding rain, and small hail woke up thousands over people in Abilene and the Big Country Monday evening into Tuesday morning as strong storms moved through the area.

As the storm was happening, users of the KTAB and KRBC Facebook pages captured images of what was happening around them.

From storm damage to intense lightning to a possible funnel cloud, they captured some amazing pictures that tell the true story of the intense storm.
