City Leaders to Mull Over New Chick-fil-A

This week, Abilene city leaders will decide if another Chick-fil-A restaurant should open up for business.

Chick-fil-A is requesting a rezoning change of a property located in north Abilene along Highway 351.

As it stands now, the property would not allow for a restaurant, but if the plans are approved, the company will be able to tear down the current building and rebuild a Chick-fil-A franchise in its place.

Officials say the new Chick-fil-A location would create between 40-65 jobs.

Why cant they just use the Jack in the box building instead of tearing something down and rebuilding? I am excited that they want to build out there because its closer and easier to get to. I don't go to the one on SW drive because its a traffic hazard trying to get in and out of there.
