Making Of The Oklahoma Kid

We went behind the front counter to watch as owner Philip Ratliff made their most popular menu item, The Oklahoma Kid.
"We start off with our sourdough bread, baked here in town," says Ratliff, "then we start with some Monterrey jack cheese."
According to Ratliff, all of Bogie's meats and cheeses are hand sliced at the store each day, to ensure freshness. Next comes the pure, 100% chicken breast and then its time for the heater.
Ratliff says, "because a lot of our customers are downtown workers that have a very limited lunch period, we try to streamline as much as possible, to get their food out as fast as possible, so they can get back on time."
Bogie's also prides itself on being highly customizable. Ratliff says costumers are able to basically create a sandwich from scratch, or change up menu items to meet their desires.
As soon as the cheese melts in the oven, the sandwich is ready for the next ingredients, avocado and a creamy thousand island dressing. Each sandwich is also topped off with chips and a fresh pickle before finally being ready to serve.
