"I think they come here knowing they are getting high quality products but they are also doing their part." Said Barista Erin James Brown.
All of monk's coffee and espresso are traded directly with bean growers.
"We assure the family can provide for themselves." Said Erin.
By trading directly with the grower, monk's coffee offers a boost of energy, clean conscience, and clean environment.
"They can't use pesticides, so its not only good for the environment but its good for you the consumer." Said Barista Erin.
Making Monk's Coffee shop a perfect place to celebrate fair trade month.
"We create this mentality throughout the community not just at monks so we really enjoy being apart of fair trade month." Said Erin.
This is the 8th annul fair trade month.
