Andy Nuncio, owner of Wholly Cow was born and raised in Abilene and came back with a dream to open a unique burger joint in the Key City.
"We wanted to incorporate a fast, casual concept here to deliver a fast service but a level of quality a lot higher than what's around."
Wholly Cow does offer vegetarian options for folks who chose to stay away from burgers, as well as bread free options for the gluten intolerant.
Besides burgers, Wholly Cow also specializes in homemade french fries and onion rings.
"They're homemade everyday, nice and fresh so you don't have that freezer taste," says Nuncio, "everything's made in house everyday."
For those with a sweet tooth, for desert you can try one of Wholly Cow's homemade ice cream shakes made with hand scoped Blue Bell Ice Cream.
With everything they offer, Nuncio says, "we're going above and beyond, we're trying to bring something different to Abilene."
