"I went into tutoring," explains an Abilene High School student.

What began as a normal after-school routine, ended up taking a dramatic turn that this student never expected.

The victim of the alleged assault was walking down a school hallway when she was pushed into a Coke machine.

The victim says, "We were walking down the hallway and he was like just rape her here."

When she tried to get away, he went even further.

"He like tried to get me in the bathroom. There's like two parts of the bathroom. I ended up in the first part instead of in the bathroom where all the stalls are," says the victim.

Thanks to the help of a friend, she was eventually released.

The victim says, "The dude was like, no we're not going to rape her, just let her go and leave her alone."

According to the victim, the principal was notified and is handling the situation, "He said that was no situation that I should have been in."

The victim says the suspect has admitted to his actions and now has to go through a hearing to come back to school.

Her dad however does not think the consequences match up with the actions.

"They're going to ask for 180 days but I don't feel that's good enough. I just feel like I was slapped in the face when they said that," says the father of the victim.

When Abilene Independent School District was contacted they declined to speak to our cameras but they did issue a statement saying: "The safety of all of our students is our highest priority. Although it is never appropriate for us to publicly disclose or discuss confidential records pertaining to individual students, we carefully communicate with students, parents and staff anytime we receive a report of this nature."

For now, the victim remains in high spirits, but she says she's learned a valuable lesson in all of this, "next time scream and try to protect yourself."
