If the regular season had ended after the 1st 5 games, the Clyde Bulldogs would have been winless and out of the playoffs. That, however, is not how it works.

The Bulldogs finished the regular season with 5 straight wins and a 2nd place finish in District 3-2A Division I.

They are on a roll, and they hope to keep it going in the playoffs starting on Friday against Breckenridge.

Head coach David Ritchey says, "We just kept preaching to them; keep working, it's going to pay off, its going to pay off. And just little by little they won one, and then won two, and then won three, and now they've just totally sold out to the fact that, hey 'we're a good football team.'  And can play with anybody."

Hunter Patterson added, "Oh, we were saying keep your heads up, next play, always do it right, don't ever get down. if you're teammates down, help him up and get back on this roll that we're on "

"I think we played, probably one of the toughest schedules in the state, to be honest with you. The Bulldogs Devin Woodard said, "And it just prepares us for the playoffs and what's ahead of us right now."

Clyde takes on the Buckaroos on Friday night in Brownwood for the Bi-district championship.
