Thursday Update:
The Mall of Abilene has issued the following statement regarding Rainy Day Jordan's magazine signing at Books-A-Million:

"We appreciate the concerns of the community and respect all the opinions expressed in regards to the upcoming event at Books-A-Million.
It's important for the community to know that the mall does not own this property and thus does not have the authority over what this business decides to promote or events that they hold at their business. Please know that their decisions to hold this event is in no way a reflection of our position on this issue.
We suggest that the community reach out directly to BAM, since this is entirely their choice to promote an event of this nature."

Original Story:
Taylor County native Rainy Day Jordan has gained plenty of attention since she was named Playboy's "Miss December 2011". On Thursday evening, she'll be in Abilene, signing copies of the magazine in which she appears fully nude, at Books-A-Million at the Mall of Abilene.

Whether you're for it, or against it, everyone seems to have an opinion about Rainy Day's autograph session.

"I think that it's fine and that it's her choice. She should be able to do what she wants to do," said Abilene resident Glenda Wilcox.

"I'm sure there are people that don't like it, and people that do. But, it's really whatever she wants to do," said Jeanette Cloud.

Julie Bramblett says she fully supports Jordan. Julie has studied acting and says the entertainment industry can be difficult.

"Mainly, do it for yourself.  The naysayers, there are always going to be naysayers," Bramblett said.

Rainy Day stopped by the KRBC studio earlier this week to talk about being named Miss December. She says she has received mixed reaction from people.

"People who know me, love me. They know who I really am and they couldn't be happier.  I love everybody," Jordan said.

The book signing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday night.
