Historic Sayles Home to Become Bed and Breakfast?

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: November 28, 2011
Abilene visitors may soon have a new place to stay in town besides a hotel.

The Abilene City Council will give a final vote Thursday on a zoning request to turn the historic Hattie and Henry Sayles house into a bed and breakfast.

The home is located on the northwest corner of Sayles and South Seventh Street.

The bed and breakfast would have five bedrooms and serve breakfast to patrons of those rooms.

There is also a fairly large yard, sun porch and patio that would become available to guests.
