City officials in Throckmorton say the drought is again causing problems for the water supply.

The Throckmorton Mayor says they will go to level three of their drought contingency plan stepping water shortage conditions up from moderate to severe.

An emergency water contract was approved to use an underground pipeline to transport water from Graham to Throckmorton if conditions don't improve.

The mayor says if the water quality of Lake Throckmorton holds, they will start mixing pipeline water with lake water at level four.
