The look on this dogs face says it all, even before you see the rest of
his body and this particular case one involves more than one dog.
"A case involving neglect to three dogs at the same resident," Abilene Police Detective Eric Vickers.
He was taken along with two other dogs by animal services after the Abilene Police Department were made aware of the dogs condition.
Vickers said, "Charges have not been filed at this time."
The people who owned the dogs are not being named because the case is under investigation.
Detective Vickers says now is the time they start seeing more of this and tells animal owners that if you can't take care of you animals, you can take them else where.
"If you find yourself in a position where you cant take care of your pets please take them to the animal shelter where they can get the care they need," said Vickers.
All three dogs have been adopted, two by private citizens, and the one you saw in the picture by an animal adoption agency.
