Abilene police arrested a man today in connection to an aggravated robbery at GameStop just two days before Christmas.

Police say 35-year-old Tommy Sorrels walked into GameStop last December and pointed a gun at an employee while walking out with merchandise.

After he was taken into custody police found the gun used in the robbery.

Surveillance video shows him pointing the gun as he walked out of the store.

He is charged with robbery and is being held on $100,000 bond.

The Abilene Police Department issued the following release in regards to the arrest:

This afternoon, detectives with the Crimes Against Persons Unit and members of the Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a local south side address. Tommy Sorrels, date of birth April 23, 1976, was arrested for a warrant related to the aggravated robbery at Gamestop on December 23, 2011. A subsequent search was conducted at the residence, and items used in the robbery, including the handgun, were seized as evidence. Tommy Sorrels was brought before Justice of the Peace Bryan Smith following a short interview at the Criminal Investigation Division. Justice of the Peace Smith set Sorrels' bond at $100,000. Sorrels is currently being held at Taylor County Jail. The case will be forwarded to the Taylor County District Attorney's Office for consideration.
