The last hospitalized victim of November's Abilene Christian University bus crash that killed one student has been released from a rehabilitation hospital in Abilene.

Pat Miller was the last passenger injured in the November 4th bus accident to return home for continued recovery, according to a new release from ACU. At one point, Miller was placed on hospice care fearing that she would die. Days later, she made what many called a miraculous recovery.

"Continue to pray for and assist our colleagues and students in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences as their healing process continues," said ACU president Dr. Phil Schubert in a message of gratitude to faculty and staff earlier today. "Thank you for standing by each of them during their challenges the past several months. I am so proud of how our campus community continues to respond to each person's needs with acts of love and the compassion of Christ."

According to the news release, Schubert also reported that students Anna Ciufo and Naomi Cruz had improved enough to return for the spring semester.

I'm so glad the Pat is home! Praise God! We will continue to pray for the Miller family. Both Pat and Emitt are amazing people.

I am glad that she is recovering and that prayers are working. I am disappointed that the writer of this story failed to give her full name and we refer to her by her last name only. Poor writing.
