Last week, the Texas State Board of Nursing voted to put Texas State Technical College's Associate Degree Nursing Program on conditional status due to low passing rates on the state licensing exams.
This means the school is currently unable to accept new students into their program.
They will stay on this conditional status until until the program's pass rate for first-time candidates during the examination year is at least 80 percent.
A representative from the Board of Nursing says the school has some work to do, but is already on their way to improving.
