Key City to be a Key Player in Artist's Alternative World

A renown artist has chosen Abilene to be a key part in his global project, a sort of parallel universe that key city residents get to take part in.
It may sound a bit out there, but artist Eames Demetrios explains he just wants people to "see the world fresh". Eames will incorporate Abilene into a "global novel" in which he creates a fictional world. It is, in other words, his way of telling a story. He calls the concept "physical fiction"... Much like a book, only a physical art display will help tell the story.
Demetrios has mapped out 83 sites in 15 countries around the world, each contains a piece of his parallel universe. Each location will have a work of art to signify its part in the installation. Demetrios has worked with Abilene artists who will create works to relate to the site here. You can take part in a complex scavenger hunt at April's ArtWalk event downtown. The hunt will lead participants to the site eames has chosen. Trading cards related to the project will be available for people to collect.
