Small business owners are upset at the uncertainty they face with a proposed ordinance by the planning and zoning commission that hopes to improve the city's aesthetics by removing their outdoor signage, among other things.
Today Wake Up Wednesday held a meeting and dozens of small business owners spoke up about the issue.
Abilene Chamber of Commerce President Mike McMahan has a plan.
"The chamber will be putting out a survey to try and help our decision makers understand our perspective from the 1200 businesses and about 1800 members of the chamber of commerce," McMahan said. "So we are trying to make sure we get the right words to our decision makers on this very important subject."
