Abilene Doctors Defend Childrens' Vaccines

By: Stetson Samuel
Updated: February 3, 2012
The topic of child vaccines have caused quite a bit of controversy for years and Key City residents are speaking out.

The Texas Vaccine for Children's program just recently changed what they consider under-insured which has left many with nowhere to turn.

The KRBC Facebook page exploded with comments of people entirely against vaccinations for their children. Some said vaccines do more harm than good and that its just a huge business scam.

A local physician says things like the average lifespan increasing and young children contracting diseases who haven't had their vaccines are proof enough.

Comments

Abilene doctors defend vaccines, but yet some doctors do not give certain vaccines in their office anymore - they do not give the chicken pox or the hepB in their office, so I'd have to take my child to the Health department to get those... Not happening. I will not go there anymore. I took my daughter there. It was gross and very uncomfortable and I hated every minute of it. If my family doctor can't administer the shot, my child will not get the shot. And I am just talking about the ones that have been around since I was a kid. There is no way any of us are getting the newer ones....flu shot, h1n1, gardasil.....no way. NO way.
