Snyder Police Kept Busy with Weekend Burglary, Theft Calls

The first call came in at 10:15 a.m. Saturday from the 800 block of Coliseum Drive, when a resident reported the theft of unspecified items from a vehicle.
Just before 8 p.m. Saturday, a purse was reported to have been taken from a vehicle at the United Pentecostal Church.
At 1:46 a.m. Sunday, a resident reported someone turning the knob on her front door in the 2900 block of Ave. Y attempting to gain entry. Police patrolled the area, but did not locate the subject.
Sunday morning brought several calls of criminal mischief, with one resident reporting a broken window on a home in the 1000 block of 37th Street just before 8 a.m. A report of a window broken out on a vehicle in the 2400 block of 30th Street was made a short time later. Another report of a window broken out of a car was made at 1:58 p.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Avondale.
A burglary in the 2300 block of 41st Street was reported at 10:53 a.m. Sunday and unspecified items were taken from the home. A report for burglary was filed.
Police responded to the Snyder Healthcare Center at 2:24 p.m. Sunday on a report of a ring being stolen from a resident.
A report of damage to a mailbox was made at 5 p.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of 48th Street.
Police wrapped up a busy weekend at 12:05 a.m. today by investigating the theft of beer from Allsup's on College Ave.
