2 Hospitalized After Pickup Collides with FedEx Truck

Emergency crews rushed to the Potosi area in eastern Taylor County at about 9:00 this morning to help the victims of a traffic accident.

Officials on the scene say the accident happened when a pickup collided with a Federal Express truck on Highway 36 at Farm Road 605.

Firefighters worked for more than an hour to free the driver of the FedEx truck from the wreckage before he was flown to Hendrick Medical Center.

An ambulance crew took the the other driver to a local hospital for treatment to apparent head injuries.

The wreck slowed traffic through the area for more than hour as emergency crews worked to help the accident victims and get the damaged trucks removed.
