Jim Holzberlein, who runs Garbo's Locksmith Service with his wife, has filed to run against Joe Spano for place two.
Holzberlein says he's pro-small business, wants to find new ways to upgrade the city's infrastructure without using bonds, and wants to locate new sources of drinking water.
"It seems like there's been a push by our city council to be not so business friendly," Holzberlein says. "It got me a lot more interested in being in city politics."
The new candidate says he would attend a possible debate hosted by the Taylor County Tea Party.
