A teacher in Cross Plains ISD is on administrative leave after a student came forward with allegations.

The superintendent says the teacher has been on suspension since Dec. 16 of last year, but he would not talk about the nature of the allegations against her.

Her name is not being released and no charges have been filed.

The former junior high math teacher has been at Cross Plains ISD for about five years.

The Brown County Sheriff's department is investigating because the alleged incident happened in the community of May in Brown county, although the school is in Callahan County.

Calls to the Brown County Sheriff's department were not returned yesterday.
