APD Urges Better Protection for Storage Burglary Prevention

Abilene police are urging owners of self-storage facilities to spend a little more money on better padlocks.
The month of January saw five break-ins at Abilene self-storage facilities.
Police say the standard lock that people usually use to lock storage units are just too easy to breach with bolt cutters.
They recommend talking with management staff at the storage facility to determine which locks are suitable for preventing break-ins.
They also recommend checking storage units often if you rent one long-term.

Best look around were you store your goods. Best lock in the world will not stop a theif. Alarms and Security are your best bet against crime. On site managers etc.
