Hello, all! Well a frigid weekend is on the way as cold air- well below average temperatures- will slide across the Big Country this weekend. Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. A Winter Storm Watch is posted for Sunday for Scurry and Mitchell counties as wintry precip will result in ice and sleet and snow accumulations in those areas. For the rest of the northern half of the Big Country a rain, sleet, and snow mix will be likely later Sunday into Sunday night but no accumulation is expected at this time. A major warm up takes place next week with highs in the 60s! Have a great weekend!
