Jim Island lives down on long drive way off of military drive by Dyess. That's where he keeps three storage facilities, and he keeps them looked up tight.
When he found evidence that someone tried to get in his storage building he wasn't surprised that they didn't get in but he was surprised at what they did next.
The attempted robber used paint that was left outside of the storage unit to start a fire.
Police say the case could be forwarded to the fire department for further investigation.
