Webcast: TxDot Announces New Traffic Safety Campaigns

The Texas Department of Transportation is announcing two new traffic safety campaigns.
The first is the Talk, Text, Crash campaign, which aims to reduce the number of drivers who talk or send and receive telephone text messages.
April is National Distracted Driver Awareness month, and highway officials say distracted driving causes thousands of traffic accidents every year.
TxDot is also beginning a new motorcycle safety campaign as part of the continuing Share the Road program.
Transportation officials say it's important for drivers to double check for motorcycles before proceeding through intersections or changing lanes.
