The Riders won their season opener in overtime 2 1/2 week's ago over Corpus Christi, and then lost the Bounty Bowl to the Hammerheads. It's been a long time since they played a game that counted in the standings, and head coach Joe Brannen's team is looking forward to getting back to work.
"Sometimes you just have to let things go in one ear out the other, so we haven't been worried about that, we've watched film and learn from what we did and what we did wrong and what we did right. Coach Joe has got us to where we are focused on Amarillo and what they do." says Veteran Johnny Anderson.
"We've come out, had a pretty good week of practice and we will see how we respond this week. We've been very sharp mentally and physically so I think we will respond pretty well." adds Head Coach Joe Brannen.
The Ruff Riders continue play game #2 of the regular season Saturday Night. They host the Amarillo Venom at 7pm at the Taylor County Expo Center.
