Abilene Food Bank, U.S. Postal Service Stamp Out Hunger

Updated: May 11, 2012
The Abilene Food Bank and the U.S. Postal Service have teamed up for the 20th Annual "Stamp-Out Hunger" food drive.

Many residents received brown bags to help feed families in need.

The food bank wants residents to put non-perishable food items in a brown bag and leave it for your mail carrier to pick up and deliver to the food bank.

The stamp out hunger food drive collects more than 70 million pounds of food each year.

This is the first year Abilene's Food Bank has sent out paper bags for the drive. They hope it will increase donations.
