ABILENE, TX -- On Saturday afternoon, the Abilene community will get its first chance to meet the players and coaches that will make up the 2012 Prairie Dogs ball club.

Come out to the Mall of Abilene from 1:00 - 3:00 tomorrow afternoon and celebrate the beginning of the baseball season during the club's meet-and-greet. The players and coaches will be stationed at the entrance of the women's Dillard's  where they will sign autographs and mingle with members of the city of Abilene. During the event, fans can purchase both season tickets and Grounder's Kid's Club memberships.

Upon purchase of a $10 Grounder's Kid's Club membership, Abilene's children will receive a t-shirt and a ticket to the 10 biggest games on the Prairie Dog's home schedule. In addition, Kid's Club members will receive a membership card allowing $1 admission to each additional Prairie Dog's home game.

The Prairie Dogs begin their season in Edinburg on Wednesday evening at 7:05, and the club opens their home schedule on Monday, May 28 at the same time.
