Stamford Bulldogs Fall Short In State Finals Game

Thursday was the day. The Stamford Bulldogs competing for a State Title against the Fayetteville Lions down in Round Rock.

Getting an early 9am start Thursday morning.

Straight to the first. Bases loaded, Trevor Malota at the plate, base hit to left, scores Logan Stoelke, and Connor Bertsch. Stamford's Bo Wimberly's throw sails over Austin Alvarado at home, Brett Rohde scores making it 3-0.

Next batter, Justin Schley gets the hit to center, Jessie Ramos makes the catch, but Malota will score and it;s 4-0.

In the 2nd. Stoelke pitching, Mario Gonzales to right field for a base hit. But he would be stranded on third. No score for Stamford.

Things not easier for Stamford, Gus West struggling on the mound. Walks Mathew Peevler and that was the end of his day.

The Lions go to score 5 more runs and run ruling the Bulldogs after 5 innings. Bulldogs fall 10-0 in the State final.
