What is worse than having a headache is having a migraine.

"It is so painful that it distracts me from the rest of life," says Melinda Rowland.

"Whatever I'm doing for that day, whenever they come, I can't function as a human anymore," says Kelsea Murphree.

Being able to function is a must, especially when you have a job or in Murphree's case, a newborn.

"When I get a migraine with her I can't, it's hard for me to focus to take care of her, to change her, to feed her," Murphree continues.

She has tried almost everything in the book to get rid of these headaches.

Murphree says, "I can't take Excedrin anymore, it doesn't work, anything for relief, they quit working."

"Many times patients who have become chronic migraine sufferers have been tried on those medications but have had side effects," says Dr. Shrisse Stephenson.

Now migraine sufferers can turn to a new option to ease that pain.

A simple injection of Botox will be able to take away those painful headaches.

Dr. Stephenson explains, "Inject the Botox in certain areas in the face, the head and the neck that it can reduce the frequency of headaches in patients who suffer from chronic migraines."

What was once used to give some of those less firm areas a lift, is now being used to treat pain.

"Sometimes when you have a condition such as migraines, it feels so detrimental that you're willing to try anything," says Rowland.

When you are in pain,  Rowland says she will not let her fear of a little needle get in the way of some big time relief.
