Construction is starting on a new Splash Pad in Abilene.

The underwater ocean-themed Splash Pad is located next to the Fort Imagination playground at Nelson Park.

An automatic touch-pad will turn on water for four minutes at a time.

The pad will use a set amount of water that will be filtered and reused through an on-site cement holding block.

Builders say they hope to be finished by the end of July.

Comments

If only the city would build some restrooms down by the fort that would be great.
