Man Dies After North Abilene Motorcycle Accident

A man has died from injuries sustained in an accident just before 9:00 Monday morning on Highway 351 and East Lake Road.

According to Abilene police, 64-year-old Kenneth Horton was driving a 2007 grey Honda Silver Wing motor scooter on Highway 351 when it struck a white 2005 Toyota Corolla that was going through the intersection at East Lake Road.

Horton struck the passenger side of the Corolla after trying to brake prior to the collision, according to the preliminary investigation.

Horton was taken to Hendrick Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

The crash is still under investigation.

Heartbroken. I have a family friend I visit at Robertson who thought very highly about this Chaplain. I grieve for his family, and am concerned for Robertson Unit.
