Abilene Teen Arrested for Aggravated Sexual Assault of Child

An 18-year-old Abilene resident was arrested last night after the parents of an under-aged girl discovered her relationship with him.
Devin Ray Graves was arrested in the 2800 block of North Sixth when police responded to a disturbance call at a home there.
The mother of a girl under the age of 14 called police when she learned of a relationship between her daughter and Graves.
As police investigated, they learned that the two were in a sexual relationship, arrested Graves and charged him with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
He is in jail on a $45,000 bond.

First off there is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excuse for anyone that does that. The law states if above 4 yrs older and the older is 18 he gets arrested would be same for a female. I dont know these people but I will say that anyone who does this even if they arent the brightest light bulb in the package, there is no excuse. If the girl sneaks out and oks the actions from boys then we all know that she cant legally make the decision and any boy who she allows is going to be arrested. The mother is an officer. Well thats a shame cause you know the mom is heart broken.There are free lawyers out there that handles cases where the people cant afford one. People wonder why this happens...because children arent allowed to be children anymore. Forced to grow up with grown up responsability that shouldnt be on their shoulders. I pray for the parents and kids. But nothing excuses the boy. Or anyone from such acts. Thats how I feel.

I know of this boy. He isn't the smartest one on the block. His family doesn't have the money for a lawyer. From what i have heard the little girl has been in trouble several time for sneaking out. Also her mother is a Abilene police officer. This poor boy has no chance. I hope there is a nice good lawyer that will help this boy.

This is really sad, where was mom when her your daughter was having in [censored]. This boy shouldn't have been arrested, now he is going to be labeled the rest of his life. They were both in a "relationship", so punish both or don't.
