Man Arrested for Possessing Controlled Substance After Fleeing from Police

Police arrested a man who tried to run away after a traffic stop Wednesday night.
Roderick Lyons, 28, was the passenger in a car that was being pulled over for a traffic violation in the 1000 block of Burger Street.
When the car stopped, Lyons jumped out and tried to run away, but was caught in an alley a couple blocks away on Green Street.
After apprehending Lyons, a search turned up approximately 12 grams of Hydrocodone, for which he did not have a prescription.
Lyons was arrested and charged with evading detention and possession of a controlled substance.
