Roger Fraim owns a 100-year-old building that used to be a bank in downtown Snyder. And rather than only accepting cash, he's willing to swap for it.
"I've had people offer bulldozers, trucks, a dentist offered dental work", Fraim tells us.
Located near one of the busiest intersections in town, Fraim bought it himself as a fixer-upper, but decided he wasn't up for completing it, and hopes it will go to someone who also sees the potential in it.
"I know it's going to take a lot of work and a lot of time to restore it and make it useable, so that's why I priced it the way I did", Fraim explains.
Fraim says the building should go to someone who is willing to put some time and money into the investment, as it isn't just a weekend project. So far there are several interested in the building, and he has given many tours.
Doug Tindol lives in Snyder and hopes whoever ends up with the building, decides to keep it standing. "This building has been a landmark in Snyder, Texas, for decades. It's called the Brownfield Building, It's a gorgeous building, and we'd love to see something done with it", Tindol tells us.
Fraim says at this point, he has received several tempting offers, and hopes to have the building sold within the next two weeks.
Although he would prefer to barter, Fraim says he would also accept a cash payment. He is asking $15,000 for the building, and hopes to see it renovated by the new owner in the coming years.
