Man Killed in Highway 36 Accident Identified

A Fort Hood man that was killed in a car accident last Monday has been identified.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reports 30-year-old Jacob Joel Morgan died when his vehicle left the road on Highway 36, hit a tree and went up in flames before coming to rest in a creek bed.

Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene and was taken to Abilene Professional Services, then Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office for identification.

The road was dry and the weather was clear.

It is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.
