Man with Taylor County Ties Charged with Grisly Murder

By: Andrew Carlson
Updated: July 24, 2012
A man who's been arrested in Abilene several times is now charged with first-degree murder in Oklahoma City.

Prosecutors filed the charges Monday after police discovered 19-year-old Carina Saunders in a duffel bag in October of last year.

Medical examiners determined that it was a violent death and opted not to release the autopsy report due to the graphic nature.

Massey reportedly confessed to his role in the murder while writing letters to another inmate at the Oklahoma City jail, where he has been held on drug charges until now.

The mugshot provided is from 2008 when he was arrested in Taylor County.

Another man, Luis Ruiz, has also been charged with first-degree murder in the case.
