By: Nora Hartfeil
Updated: July 26, 2012
The city of Cisco is one step closer to selling alcohol in stores and restaurants.

City officials said earlier on Thursday that 700 signatures from the petition were verified, which surpassed the necessary 572.

The next step is to take the petition to commissioner's court for a formal call to put the initiative on the November ballot.

The court date is set for August 13.
