Abilene Coin Show Educates on Rising Metal Value

By: Nora Hartfeil
Updated: August 4, 2012
The Coin Show wrapped up on Saturday in Abilene. Featuring specialty and antique coins for sale and on display, folks even had the opportunity to bring in their own collection of coins to show off or even sell for cash.

"With silver and gold, and everything that people have with those metals are worth more than they were, say five or ten years ago. There's money in everybody's pocket and they need to know what they have and what they don't have", says John Adling, chairman of the Key City Coin Club.

Adling also tells us they are already looking forward to next year's show, and were pleased with this year's turnout.
