Cisco Loboes Success in 2012 Starts With Two-A-Days

Out at two-a-days, the back of all the Cisco Coach's shirts read "It's hard to play against us, it's harder to play for us." It's a slogan that sums up the Loboes well, all 15 of last year's opponent's would agree, and the players would as well.

"That's what going to get us through the season, how Coach West pushed us through two-a-days and makes sure its really hard on us. We want to go back to where we were last year, and how we are going to do that is out here on this football field during two-a-days." Says Spencer Gassett.

Last year the Loboes fell short in their 4th trip to the state final game against Rifugio- but only by a point. Last year's teams success is easy to remember, but crucial to forget.

"He made that really clear with us from the first day of off-season. He said last year was last year, and this year is this year." adds Colten Gayle.

16 seniors are now gone from the 2011 team, but that doesn't mean this is a rebuilding year for  Cisco. With the return of Quarterback Colten Gayle, Running Back and Linebacker Mason Reed and many others- still, like every year, there is room for improvement.

"We need to work on our receiving more. We need to work on our blocking, and our linemen are smaller this year so we are going to have to learn on that more, and they are going to have to get bigger, faster and stronger for us to be where we were last year." adds Gassett.

There is word on the street that this Cisco Loboes team can and will be better than last- it may be true, but for right now that's the last thing on their minds

"I just let it go in one ear and out the other. I don't like to listen to that. I don't like to see the hair pulls, I don't like to see any of that. I just want to play football." adds Gayle.
