Police are encouraging neighborhoods in Brown County to register for the 2012 'National Night Out'
Several law enforcement representatives, including the Brown County sheriffs office and the Early police department plan to visit several block party locations on October 2 to speak about drug and crime prevention in the community.
Coordinators are currently looking for block captains to head each event.
Last year there were around 60 parties around town,
This year, they have a goal of 85.
