A cool front pressing down across the panhandle of Texas could lead to developing showers or storms tonight in the Big Country. The front will actually push through the Abilene area on Friday bringing with it shower and storm chances at that time as well.

Later this weekend another front will push down into north Texas and eventually stall out near the Big Country. The likelihood of rainstorms increases with this next system and even some heavy rains could occur with it on Saturday and Sunday.

Your latest KRBC Weather Lab forecast:

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a slim storm chance. Lows in the mid 70s.

Friday: Scattered storms and partly cloudy with highs in the lower to mid 90s.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy with showers and storms some with locally heavy rain possibly. Highs in the lower 90s.
