This conference assists firefighters in keeping abreast of new opportunities and developments in the fire service, and helps them gain experience in various fire control and fore protection methods.

It is open to all members of paid, volunteer and part-paid fire departments of cities and industries who want the latest training in firefighting and related skills.

Courses offered on Monday and Tuesday evenings will be held at the Civic Center and will include classroom instruction along with hands-on training of pump operations and use of ladders.

Classes on Wednesday and Thursday will be held at D.C. Musick Field, 4242 East Lake Road. These courses include live fire training for combating house fires, liquid propane fires, and natural gas fires.

All training sessions will end around 10 p.m.
