The ACU Wildcats and the McMurry War Hawks are getting to take on each other at Shotwell Stadium on Saturday night, and it's the start of an era for both schools.

The Wildcats are starting the Ken Collums era. Collums is the new head coach on the hill.

He is the offensive mind that helped create one of the most powerful offenses in the nation in NCAA Division II football.

He is now the head coach and ready to lead the Wildcats on the field for the 1st time.

Coach Collums says, "I really don't know what to expect because I've never done it before. I've been the assistant coach for the last 9 years, but you know it's on me now.  Every decisions, not just what to run and what are going to do next drive."

Nick Richardson added, "People want to work hard. I know as a new head coach he's evaluating things differently then the last, so I want to go out there and show what I got."

The Wildcats and the War Hawks meet Saturday night at 6 at Shotwell Stadium. It's the 1st meeting between the 2 schools in 41 years.
