Food Vendor Says Her Job is All about Spreading Happiness

To Barbara Yancy, working at the fair is all about joy.
"It makes me happy. To see other people being happy and not having to worry so much," she said.
To the carnival lover, it's all about the atmosphere that makes her job enjoyable.
"The screaming, the rides," she explained. "Walking around, eating. You'd be surprised at who all you can meet out here."
There are usually four people in the food stand at one time. But with air conditioning and a lot of team work, Barbara says it's not as bad as it sounds.
"We all know what we're doing so as long as you're organized, you know, it's not too bad," she said.
The Abilene locals says she plans on working at the West Texas Fair for as long as she can. Simply because she loves it.
"Just rewarding," Barbara said. "It's just, to see people get out and do things and, I just enjoy it."
