The Sweetwater Mustangs are getting ready to finish up their non-district schedule this week with a trip to Brownwood.

It has literally been an up and down season so far for the Mustangs. They have wins over Eastland and Breckenridge and losses to Andrews and state ranked Wall. Improvement before District starts is the goal, and that starts this week.

"What we're looking forward to right now is District, and wrapping up the preseason with Brownwood. It's going to be a great test to show where we're at. Some kids are going to have to step up because of injuries." says Head Coach Shane Mobley.

"We lost a tough game last week to Wall, but we've got Brownwood this week. They're our old district game. So, we're kind of treating it like a district game. It's going to prepare us a lot for what we're about to see in district." adds Sean Morrow.

"There will be a lot of questions answered for us as coaches before our first district game against Snyder." Continues Mobley

Kick off for the Sweetwater-Brownwood game is Friday night, 7:30 in Brownwood.
