Suspected Burglar Leads Abilene Police on Foot Chase

A suspected burglar flees, leading Abilene police on a short foot chase today.

Christopher Minor was spotted at the Howard Johnson near South 1st and the Winters Freeway by an officer who recognized him as a person of interest in several burglaries in the area..

When police tried to contact him, he ran on foot from the area and into the Alameda addition of Abilene.

Other Abilene officers respond to the chase and Minor was taken into custody.

When they searched his bag that he had on him, they found crack cocaine and a substantial amount of cash.

Minor is facing several charges including evading arrest.
